Calling himself a sand artist, Lowell Hunter created the design of the 2023 Melbourne Demons Mens Season 8 AFLW Indigenous Guernsey by carving the design into the sand with his feet. The work was then captured and digitised for the jersey. Fire is in the middle of the artwork, emphasising the importance of storytelling among First Nations culture where people would meet around the fire and trade tales.
